1. Tell me about yourself.（自己紹介してください）

🗝 ポイント：名前・バックグラウンド・バリスタに興味を持った理由の3点を簡潔に。

🗣 例文：
 "I'm Arata from Japan. I recently moved to Toronto on a working holiday. I’ve always loved coffee culture, and I’m excited to learn more and work in a local café."



2. Why do you want to work as a barista?

🗝 ポイント：コーヒーへの興味や、接客が好きという気持ちを伝える。

🗣 例文：
 "I love coffee and enjoy creating good experiences for people. I think being a barista is a great way to connect with the community and learn customer service skills."



3. Do you have any barista or customer service experience?

🗝 ポイント：経験がなくても、似たような経験をアピールできればOK。

🗣 経験ありの例：
 "Yes, I worked at a café in Tokyo for 6 months, preparing drinks and serving customers."

🗣 経験なしの例：
 "Not yet, but I’ve taken a barista course and practiced at home. I also have experience in customer service from a retail job in Japan."



4. How do you deal with a difficult customer?

🗣 例文：
 "I try to stay calm and listen carefully. I always apologize first, and then try to find a solution or ask a supervisor for help if needed."



5. What’s your favorite coffee drink and why?

🗝 ポイント：コーヒーに興味があることを自然に伝えるチャンス。

🗣 例文：
 "My favorite is a flat white. I love the balance of strong espresso and creamy milk, and I enjoy making good milk foam."



6. Can you work under pressure, like during a busy morning rush?

🗝 ポイント：マルチタスクや素早い対応に自信があることをアピール。

🗣 例文：
 "Yes, I’m good at staying focused and organized. I try to stay positive and communicate clearly with my team, even when it gets busy."



7. What days and hours are you available?

🗝 ポイント：採用されやすくなるので、なるべく多く出られると◎

🗣 例文：
 "I’m available weekdays and weekends, including early mornings. I’m flexible with shifts."



8. Have you used an espresso machine before?

🗝 ポイント：未経験でも、触れたことがある・勉強中ならOK。

🗣 例文：
 "I’ve used a home espresso machine and practiced at a barista workshop. I’m confident I can learn quickly with training."



9. How would you handle a wrong drink order?

🗝 ポイント：冷静で丁寧な対応ができることを伝える。

🗣 例文：
 "I would apologize and quickly offer to remake the drink. I’d make sure the customer feels heard and taken care of."



10. Why should we hire you?

🗝 ポイント：やる気・学ぶ姿勢・笑顔をアピール。

🗣 例文：
 "I’m friendly, hardworking, and eager to learn. I may be new to this role, but I bring great customer service skills and a positive attitude every day."

🌟 面接に向けた準備アドバイス

  • よくある質問を声に出して練習する（暗記より“慣れ”が大事）

  • 面接の冒頭は必ず “How are you today?” などの雑談があるので、笑顔と挨拶の練習も忘れずに

  • 応募前にそのカフェに一度行って、コーヒーを飲んで雰囲気を感じておくとネタになる
